The challenging 85 mile route features one of the toughest climbs in the area with the infamous Butterfly Gap; a category 2 rated climb with 18% inclined sections. Butterfly Gap will challenge even the most hardened mountain goats of the peloton. After conquering the gap, cyclists will enjoy a fast descent of the famous Foothills Parkway before rejoining the metric century route for the return trip. The King and Queen of the Mountain are awarded to the first male and female riders to summit the climb. All finishers of the 85 mile route receive a commemorative medal.
